The PTFE Rod Seal’s function is very difficult since is has to seal at both high and low pressure, often at alternating high and low temperatures. Out of the different materials and types of Rod Seals available, the PTFE Rod Seal will endure the harshest conditions.
PTFE Seals have properties which exceed most other known materials when it comes to friction and stick-slip, which is basically non-existing when PTFE Seals are used. The chemical and thermal resistance of the PTFE Seals are beyond the specifications of most other materials as well.

Our PTFE Rod Seals are made in both standard and custom sizes, in high quality PTFE with carbon and bronze fillers and often with Molybdenum di-sulphide (MoS2) which acts as a lubricant for the PTFE Seal.
