PTFE Wiper Seals

 
The PTFE Wiper Seal is of the greatest importance for the hydraulic system, since it can avoid contamination of the system.
Contamination particles in the hydraulic system is the most common reason for breakdown and short service life of seals.
 
It is important not to undervalue the PTFE Wiper Seal in the hydraulic cylinder, in relation to its important function. However, the choice of a PTFE Wiper Seal should be based on precise requirement specification.
 
High temperatures, agressive media, low friction. These could be requirements which would call for a PTFE Wiper Seal.

PTFE Seals have properties which exceed most other known materials when it comes to friction and stick-slip, which is basically non-existing when PTFE Seals are used. The chemical and thermal resistance of the PTFE Seals are beyond the specifications of most other materials as well.
PTFE Seals are hard and non-elastic and are better suited for compact applications than most other known seal types.
Our PTFE Seals are made in both standard and custom sizes, in high quality PTFE with carbon and bronze fillers and others, often with Molybdenum di-sulphide (MoS2) which acts as a lubricant for the PTFE Wiper Seal.
