Utilizing a strong helically wound spring in combination with a PTFE seal jacket will ensure a good seal ability in static or slow moving applications.
The helically wound spring has the benefit of having a high spring force at a low compression rate, compared to a seal energized by a V-spring. This makes it more suitable for applications with extreme temperature fluctuations, such as cryogenics.
