Using PTFE Guide Tape, compared with other alternatives, has several benefits:

• Very low friction
• High chemical resistance
• High thermal resistance
• The ability to absorb wear particles, which could otherwise cause a decreased lifespan for the hardware

It is a durable, non-elastic and very low-friction material. Compared to metal guides, the PTFE Guide Tape offers a much longer service life and better sealing ability. The special properties of PTFE makes lubrication unnecessary, a clear advantage compared to metal guides, which also permits a simpler design.

We produce Guide tape in a standard flat profile, or with an indented tear drop pattern
