Guide Tape Strips

Guide Tape is preferentially used in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. It guides the movement of pistons and piston rods to avoid metallic contact between sliding parts, and to absorb transverse forces.

We supply Guide Tape in various widths from 2 to 80 mm and in thicknesses from 1,0 to 5,0 mm. Materials are chosen for the specific application. The Guide Tape can have a further treatment applied to give it’s surface a Diamond Structure (also called “Tear Drop”) for increased lubrication.

Our guide tape strips are cut to length. The cuts can be as follows:

• 0°
• 30°
• 45°
• 60°
• Z-cut

Length tolerances for Guide Tape cut to length:

Up to 130 mm: ±0.5 mm
130.1–500 mm: ±1.0 mm
500.1–1080 mm: ±1.5 mm
Above 1080 mm: to be agreed

For dimensions without specified tolerances, Accofluor applies ISO 2768-m (Medium).
For special or tighter tolerances, please send us a drawing showing the required tolerances.

• Max width (T): 12 mm
• Length (L): 4, 6 and 8 mm
