ACCOFLUOR SPRING ACTIVITED LIP SEAL

ASL-SEAL

“ASL-seals” refer toĀ Accofluor’s Spring Activated Lip Seals.

The ASL-seal is a single-acting, spring activated PTFE seal for either piston or rod. Our range of ASL-seals are capable of covering a vast variety of applications, including:

  • Static seals
  • Axially reciprocating movements seals
  • Rotating movement

ASL-seals often replace rubber seals in applications dealing with high or low temperatures, or with non-lubricated services. ASL-seals can be delivered with springs of many different types and materials, adjusted to demands on friction, aggressive media, requirements for high wear resistance etc.

In applications that require a high standard of hygiene (in production of food or medicine, for example), our ASL-seals can be silicone-filled, in order to close off the nooks and crannies of the spring recess.

Overview:

  • 610/710
    • Typically with a helical spring
    • Designed for slow dynamic or static applicationsĀ  (high sealing ability at lower pressures)
  • 610A/710A
    • Typically with a V-spring
    • Dynamic applications with scraper lip, wipes media from the rod
  • 610D/710D
    • Typically with a V-spring
    • With a thicker dynamic lip, for increased durability
  • 610R/710R
    • Always with a V-spring
    • With clamping flange to keep the seal from rotating
  • 610S/710S
    • Typically with a V-spring
    • For static applications
  • 611/711
    • V-spring or helical spring
    • For internal sealing
